As most of the Church’s early records had been destroyed during the Japanese Occupation, one of the aims of the Oral History Programme is to record the recollections and reflections of members who had participated in the life of Wesley Methodist Church before World War II in the hope of filling in the Church’s historical gaps.

Our work in this area was given a boost when the Communications Ministry needed help to conduct interviews with selected church members for a book project. The book, Our Stories, His Glory: A Wesley 120th Anniversary Publication was published 2005.

To expand its Oral History collection, future projects may include interviews with former and present pastors, Church staff and volunteers to find out more about the history of various ministries and significant activities of the Church.
