Wesley Methodist Church's 140th Anniversary Celebrations

Looking Up to His Faithfulness, Reaching Out in Our Mission

Dear Wesley Family,

We are thrilled to celebrate a significant milestone—our 140th Anniversary! As we reflect on this journey, our hearts are filled with gratitude for God's unwavering faithfulness and abundant blessings.

Psalm 77:11 reminds us, “I will remember the deeds of the Lord, yes, I will remember your wonders of old.” This anniversary is a time to remember and celebrate the Lord's goodness and faithfulness to our church over the years. From nurturing our faith to providing a community of support, God has been our constant guide and faithful provider.

As we look back, we also look forward with a renewed commitment to our mission. We are expanding our outreach from Jalan Berseh to a larger area of Jalan Besar, embracing a fresh vision to reach the least, last, and lost. Our evangelistic efforts through Alpha and other workplace initiatives, along with our mission trips, continue to be at the heart of our missional call.

Outreach is integral to our intentional discipleship. It allows us to grasp the heart of Christ, strengthens our belief in Him, and deepens our reliance on Him. As we serve, we are reminded of Jesus' example of sacrificial love and are called to follow in His footsteps.

Let us remember the Lord’s goodness and go forth to be a blessing. Our labour in the Lord is not in vain (1 Corinthians 15:58), for we have a risen Savior whose resurrection power empowers us and whose redemptive hope is available to the least and last who turn to Him. Every act of kindness and love matters for eternity, leading others to encounter Jesus.

May the Lord bless you and your families as we continue to seek and serve Him faithfully.

The bold numbers "140" stand out prominently, with the "0" creatively designed as a stylized representation of the round stained glass in our church's sanctuary, symbolizing our rich heritage and faith.

The name "Wesley Methodist Church" is highlighted in vibrant red, reflecting our passion and commitment to our community. The word "Anniversary" is in a warm orange, signifying celebration and joy.

There is our tagline, "Looking Up. Reaching Out.," that encapsulates our mission and vision, reminding us to always look up to God and reach out to the least and last among us.

This logo is a testament to our history, our faith, and our missional call.

Anniversary Services

140th Anniversary Services

Sunday, 16 February 2025

• Combined Traditional and Prayer & Praise worship services at 8.30am and 11.00am (livestream – 8.30am).

• 8.30am services will be a joint anniversary celebration with The Methodist Church in Singapore.

• Mandarin Ministry congregation will worship at 11:00 AM at the Sanctuary.

• There will be no 5:00pm Traditional worship service.

• Children Ministry, BeTween, and Wesley Filipino Fellowship will not be meeting.

Note: There will be no Youth Ministry Service and The Saturday Service on 15 February 2025.
