Counselling

Life can be difficult. Coping with life’s changes can be a struggle, whether it’s a change in lifestyle, in a relationship, in your career, or in your health. Sometimes it's hard just being with another person. Or being married. Or communicating your thoughts and ideas to another person. At times, we are faced with anxiety or depression and loneliness. These feelings can arise from challenges such as difficulty in finding a job, problems in determining what we want to do with our lives, rocky relationships with other people, mounting pressures in school or at work or the process of growing older or impending retirement. When the pain from any of these life events becomes unbearable and prevents you from doing your daily chores, speaking to one of the WCS counsellors could be helpful.

About Us

As the pace of life quickens, pressure mounts. In these times, everyone needs help to heal, grow and find direction at different points of their lives. To meet this deepening need, WCS was established in 1991 as the Counselling Ministry arm of Wesley Methodist Church. With 1 full-time counsellor and a small group of volunteers, we began providing Christian-based counselling services to individuals, couples and families from WMC and the community.

Today we are a team of 3 full-time counsellors, 1 ministry coordinator and 30 trained lay counsellors culled from different churches across Singapore. All have the desire to help clients from different faiths and walks of life to rediscover the balance in their lives.
