Bible Reading Drive 2026

Dear brothers and sisters-in-Christ, a warm welcome to the Wesley Bible Reading Drive (BRD) 2026! Wesley BRD was officially launched in 2016 to encourage all of us to read God’s Word every day as a spiritual discipline. BRD is part of one of the five faith environments (Significant Circumstances, Scriptural Obedience, Spiritual Relationships, Spiritual Disciplines and Sacrificial Service or C.O.R.D.S.) in which we can experience spiritual growth in our faith. Through the past 10 years, both writers and readers have been encouraged in their faith journey through BRD.

BRD tries to follow our church’s theme for the year and pulpit teachings. For 2026, we will be reading the books of Ephesians, Matthew, 1 Corinthians, 2 Corinthians, Genesis, 1 Thessalonians, 2 Thessalonians and Psalms. In March and July, we will be following our church’s Lent Devotion on the book of Luke and Love Singapore’s daily devotion respectively.

In our daily reading of scriptures, we are encouraged to journal our reflections following the Read, Observe, Apply, Do (R.O.A.D.) format. Details of this format can be found in the next segment. We are also encouraged to close our time of reflections with a short prayer. The goal of BRD is for each of us to live out the Word of God in our lives and be transformed into the image of Christ. Leaders of different ministries in our church will also be posting their personal reflections following the daily BRD in Wesley Telegram (except on Sundays) as an encouragement for all of us. On Sundays, we are encouraged to read the Psalms and to reflect on the sermon preached. Do join our Wesley Telegram if you have not already done so.

Jesus says in John 6:63, “the words that I have spoken to you are spirit and are life” (NASB). Let us grow in our spiritual formation together through the reading, reflecting and application of God’s Word in our lives.
