Job Description
This person is responsible for responding, co-ordinating, providing pastoral care and follow-up on bereavement matter with urgency and visiting and conducting of wake/funeral services and interment of ashes/ash scattering.
This person is expected to response, provide pastoral visit and follow-up on those who are sick, in hospitals/nursing homes and are homebound and collaborate with Wesley Glowing Years Ministry activities.
Responsibilities

Response, provide pastoral care and follow-up on bereavement matter with urgency, co-ordinate, visit and conduct wake/funeral services and interment of ashes/ash scattering.

Response, provide pastoral visit and follow-up to those who are sick, in hospitals/nursing homes and are homebound.

Conduct pastoral care training and equipping.

Provide any pastoral care and oversight when needed.

Guide and support the ministry coordinator and work well as a team.

Collaborate with WGYM team to equip and care for seniors.

Participate, contribute and collaborate in WMC’s staff meetings, training, weekly services and events.
- Perform any other role, responsibilities and activities assigned by the Church.
Requirements:

Relevant theological studies, qualifications and/or experience in similar capacities.

Worked in a Church, Nursing Home/Hospice or Parachurch organization.

Have relevant pastoral care experiences such as visiting the sick and dying, attending to bereavement matters, and caring for the elderly.

Demonstrated ability to plan, prioritize, co-ordinate and execute tasks with competent people management & relational skills.
